TROPICAL SEAWEED SMOOTHIE
From Sea Greens by Kristy Del Coro
This smoothie is a great gateway for beginners who aren’t sure how they feel about seaweed. It has a simple mix of tropical fruits with just a touch of kelp powder, giving you the health benefits but without a strong kelp taste. Avocado gives it extra creaminess, and soy milk adds some protein. It’s a quick, balanced option for breakfast, a snack, or even a post-workout recovery shake.

TROPICAL SEAWEED SMOOTHIE RECIPE
SERVES 2
INGREDIENTS:
2½ cups [300 g] frozen tropical fruit (bananas, strawberries, mango, pineapple)
¼ large ripe avocado
1½ cups [360 ml] unsweetened soy milk
1 tsp kelp powder (see Note)
¼ tsp vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
Note: If you can’t find kelp powder, process whole kelp flakes in a spice grinder until finely ground.
